Job summary

Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire seeks a dynamic gift planning leader to advise donors and staff on planned giving strategies. The Senior Associate Director will help grow bequests, life income gifts, and outright gifts while partnering with alumni, trustees and Dartmouth family during a capital campaign.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree and 8+ years in planned giving, law, or financial services; an advanced degree or designation is a strong plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and eight or more years in planned giving, law, development, or financial services.
• Advanced degree in related field or a professional designation is a strong plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation and interpersonal instincts.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with solid project management.

Responsibilities

• Advise donors, prospective donors, and Development staff on charitable gift planning strategies.
• Help shape the Gift Planning program during capital campaigns to increase gifts and planned gifts.
• Partner with alumni, trustees, and Dartmouth family to grow outright gifts, bequests and life income gifts.
• Travel quarterly to Hanover campus and with prospects as needed.
