Job summary

Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire seeks a Senior Associate Director, Gift Planning to guide charitable gift planning for donors and Development staff. The role focuses on growing outright gifts, bequests, and life-income gifts while partnering with alumni and trustees.

The position offers a fully remote arrangement with quarterly travel to the Hanover campus and occasional visits to prospects as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and eight-plus years of experience in planned giving, law, development, financial services, or the equivalent.
• An advanced degree in a related field or a professional designation is a strong plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently paired with strong teamwork, project management, and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with PG Calc planned gift software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Advise donors and staff on charitable gift planning.
• Develop strategies to grow outright gifts, bequests, life income gifts, and other estate gifts.
• Collaborate with alumni, trustees, and Dartmouth family to advance the program.
