Job summary

Geosciences Testing and Research, Inc. (GTR) seeks a Senior Geotechnical and/or Structural Engineer with 8+ years of experience to join our Massachusetts or New York office.

The role involves leading design tasks, project management, mentoring staff, and coordinating with principals to deliver complex geotechnical and structural projects for heavy civil, infrastructure, and marine sectors. Responsibilities include client development, preparing technical submittals, budgeting, and site visits.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in geotechnical and/or structural engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required; master's preferred.
• Strong understanding of geotechnical concepts and structural design codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead design tasks and manage projects to on-time, on-budget completion.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate with principals and staff engineers.
• Develop proposals with budgets and scopes; manage client communications.
• Perform engineering analyses and prepare technical submittals.
• Visit sites and perform construction observations.
