Job summary

ECS Limited in Chesapeake, VA is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Senior Project Manager to lead geotechnical and CMT projects from proposal to closeout. You will ensure technical quality, client satisfaction, financial performance, and team execution.

The role provides leadership to project teams, mentors staff, drives business development, and maintains a strong customer service attitude aligned with ECS Core Values.

Qualifications

• Must have 5 years of related experience.
• Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or similar.
• PE or PG license required in each state you work, or eligible via reciprocity within three months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Leads and manages geotechnical and CMT projects from proposal through completion
• Oversees preparation and review of geotechnical reports, including technical analysis and recommendations
• Ensures all project tasks, from proposal to final invoice, are completed accurately and on time
• Manages project budgets, change orders, invoicing, and collections
• Reviews field reports and ensures quality, accuracy, and completeness
• Prepares and oversees proposals and contracts
• Serves as primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders
• Hosts and participates in project meetings to present findings and provide technical solutions
• Supervises field investigations, drilling, and testing activities
• Provides technical oversight and verifies calculations and recommendations
• Mentors and develops junior staff, technicians, and project managers
• Supports staffing decisions and resource allocation
• Performs other duties as assigned
