Job summary

ECS Limited seeks a Geotechnical Senior Project Manager for our Chesapeake office to lead geotechnical and construction materials testing (CMT) projects from proposal through delivery. You will guide teams, mentor staff, manage budgets, and drive client relationships to ensure technical quality and financial success.

You must have 5+ years of experience and relevant PE/PG licensure or reciprocity, with strong leadership and communication skills to excel in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience.
• Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or similar.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Professional Geologist (P.G.) license in the work state or eligible via reciprocity within 3 months.
• Valid driver''s license if driving for ECS.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Advanced project management and consulting skills.
• Strong business development and client relationship skills.
• Extensive knowledge of geotechnical principles and ASTM standards.
• Proficiency with geotechnical software.
• Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Leads geotechnical and CMT projects from proposal through completion.
• Oversees preparation and review of geotechnical reports and recommendations.
• Manages budgets, change orders, invoicing, and collections.
• Mentors junior staff and supports staffing decisions.
• Serves as primary client contact and leads project meetings.
• Ensures quality, accuracy, and on-time delivery of all tasks.
