Job summary

ECS Group of Companies (ECS) seeks an experienced Geotechnical Senior Project Manager to lead key client projects from our Frederick, MD office. You will manage project execution, provide technical oversight, ensure quality control, and mentor junior staff.

You will oversee lifecycle, budgets, schedules, and field data interpretation, while fostering business development and client relations. The role emphasizes leadership, safety, and engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of geotechnical engineering experience.
• Licensed PE or PG; must obtain within 3 months of hire if not licensed.
• Strong project management and communication skills.
• Experience leading engineering teams.
• Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations.
• Business development experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full lifecycle of geotechnical projects.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and plans.
• Perform geotechnical analysis and engineering calculations.
• Supervise field exploration programs and interpret geotechnical data from boring layouts, utility clearances, and laboratory tests.
• Perform technical review of engineering designs, drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Provide coaching and guidance to junior engineers and project managers.
• Assist with business development efforts through community involvement and client engagement.
• Promote company values, positive culture, and high employee engagement.
