Job summary

UES, Inc. is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Project Manager to lead complex geotechnical projects, mentor engineers, and drive technical excellence for large infrastructure, transportation, and energy programs.

This role requires 8+ years of geotechnical experience, a PE license, and proven leadership in budgets, schedules, and client negotiations. Extensive travel is expected to support projects and fieldwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• 8+ years of geotechnical engineering experience; 3+ years in senior/lead role.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Expertise in advanced geotechnical modeling, soil-structure interaction, and ground improvement.
• Proven track record managing large-scale, complex projects.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively for client and project needs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical expert on complex geotechnical projects.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams for large infrastructure and energy projects.
• Develop innovative, cost-effective geotechnical designs.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and resources to deliver quality work.
• Build and maintain key client relationships and lead proposals.
• Review and approve geotechnical reports and analyses.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote technical excellence.
• Represent the company at industry events.
• Contribute to standards, research, and best practices.
• Ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and quality control.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
