Job summary

Langan Engineering & Environmental Services is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Project Manager specializing in Power Generation and Transmission to join its national team in a leadership role overseeing design, permitting, and client development for major projects.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of geotechnical experience in the energy sector, PE licensure, and a proven track record in managing budgets, schedules, and multi‑discipline teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s degree with Geotechnical emphasis preferred.
• Professional Engineer licensure required; 10+ years geotechnical experience in energy (power/transmission)
• 3+ years field experience with geotechnical investigations and construction observation
• Experience in preparing technical reports, specifications, and project coordination; client management and mentoring

Responsibilities

• Perform complex analyses, design pile elements and underpinning systems
• Prepare technical documents and manage proposals, reports, construction documents, and correspondence
• Supervise field investigations and earthwork, foundation construction activities
• Manage multiple projects within budgets, schedules, and deadlines
• Plan budgets, prepare progress reports, invoices, and project billings
• Perform other duties as requested
