Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in Chantilly, VA seeks an experienced Geotechnical Senior Project Manager to lead project execution, provide technical oversight, ensure quality control, and mentor junior staff. The role requires 5+ years in geotechnical engineering, PE or PG licensure (or ability to obtain within three months), and strong communication skills for budget, scope, and client management.

Salary ranges from $90,000 to $120,000 per year, depending on location and qualifications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in geotechnical engineering.
• Licensed PE or PG, or ability to obtain within 3 months.
• Strong knowledge of geotechnical principles and safety regulations.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.
• Experience leading engineering teams and BD activities.
• Familiarity with industry standards and codes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full lifecycle of geotechnical projects.
• Develop scopes, budgets, schedules, and plans.
• Perform geotechnical analyses and calculations.
• Supervise field exploration and interpret data from boring layouts and lab tests.
• Review designs, drawings, and specifications.
• Mentor junior engineers and project managers.
• Support business development through client engagement.
• Promote values, culture, and employee engagement.
