McMillen, Inc. seeks a Geotechnical Senior Managing Engineer with a strong technical background to lead diverse water resources projects. This role involves soil and rock investigations, modeling, design, and client relation development across dams, hydropower, and water infrastructure.

The position supports remote, in-person, or hybrid work arrangements and requires leadership of multidisciplinary teams, mentoring staff, and travel up to 20% per month to meet project needs.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical, Geological, or Civil Engineering required.
• Master’s degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering preferred; Ph.D. is a plus.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in geotechnical or related fields.
• Proficiency in geotechnical modeling software and engineering design tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, writing, communication, and project management skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% per month.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and manage geotechnical investigations, including soil/rock core logging and lab testing.
• Analyze field data and reports to establish conditions and design criteria.
• Review geotechnical modeling and analysis using standard software (Slide2, RS2, Settle3, LPILE, APILE, GROUP).
• Mentor mid-level and junior staff and perform QA/QC reviews.
• Develop and manage client relationships and pursue project opportunities and proposals.
• Manage project scope, schedule, and costs; communicate changes and seek client acceptance.
• Identify risks, assumptions, and constraints for multi-discipline water resources projects.
• Develop detailed designs for infrastructure (pipelines, storage, pumps) and support services for water systems.
• Collaborate with dam safety personnel as subject matter expert for inspections and risk analyses.
