McMillen, Inc. is seeking a Geotechnical Senior Managing Engineer to lead diverse water resources projects, including dams, embankments, hydropower, fish passage, and water treatment.

You will guide technical teams and integrate engineering, environmental, and construction expertise to deliver practical solutions. The role offers remote, in-person, or hybrid work, competitive compensation, and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical, Geological, or Civil Engineering.
• Master’s degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering or related field preferred; Ph.D. is a plus.
• Minimum of 15 years of geotechnical or civil engineering experience.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams and large projects.
• Proficiency in geotechnical modeling software and engineering design tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, writing, communication, and project management skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% per month.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage geotechnical investigations and characterization.
• Analyze field data and reports to establish conditions and design criteria.
• Manage and review geotechnical modeling using industry software.
• Mentor staff and provide QA/QC reviews of work.
• Develop client relationships and participate in proposals.
• Manage project scope, schedule, and costs; track changes.
• Develop designs for infrastructure including pipelines and pump stations.
• Coordinate with dam safety personnel on inspections and risk analyses.
