Job summary

Harrington Geotechnical Engineering Inc. is seeking a Geotechnical Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers and technicians on a variety of geotechnical projects.

You will oversee daily operations, budgets, and reporting, while guiding analyses, design recommendations, and QA/QC practices throughout the project lifecycle. The role emphasizes client relationships, business development, and mentoring junior staff to maintain high technical standards and project delivery quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Geological Engineering.
• Professional Geotechnical Engineer license preferred in California.
• Minimum 5 years of geotechnical/geological experience.
• Strong analytical and technical soil/rock mechanics background.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and operational leadership for geotechnical projects.
• Manage engineers and technicians; oversee daily operations and budgets.
• Develop QA/QC practices and ensure compliance across projects.
