Job summary

DLZ is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead geotechnical investigations and design for major infrastructure projects in the Midwest. You will mentor engineers, manage project delivery, and collaborate with transportation, structural, environmental teams, and clients to ensure technical excellence.

The role emphasizes leadership, client interaction, and business development, with opportunities to shape a growing geotechnical practice and advance within a respected firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Geological Engineering with PE license.
• 10+ years of geotechnical engineering experience.
• Experience with dams, levees, bridges, and major infrastructure.
• ODOT and USACE project experience desirable.
• Strong client communication and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical investigations and analyses for major infrastructure projects.
• Prepare geotechnical reports and recommendations.
• Mentor junior engineers and support business development.
• Manage project scope, schedules, and budgets.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
