Job summary
Rimkus Consulting Group, Inc. seeks an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to lead and support investigations, analyses, and designs for infrastructure projects.
You will manage field studies, oversee construction support, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions. The role emphasizes leadership in geotechnical investigations, foundation design, and seismic/geohazard mitigation, with opportunities for advancement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required; Master's in Geotechnical Engineering is preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
- 15+ years of geotechnical engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of soil/rock mechanics, slope stability, settlement analysis, earthquake, pavement engineering, and groundwater hydrogeology.
Responsibilities
- Lead geotechnical investigations, analyses, and design for infrastructure and transportation projects.
- Plan subsurface explorations, laboratory testing, instrumentation monitoring, and data interpretation.
- Provide geotechnical support during construction activities and review reports.
