Job summary

McMillen, Inc. seeks a Geotechnical Senior Managing Engineer with a strong technical background to lead multidisciplinary water resources projects, including dams, hydropower, fisheries, and water treatment. Remote, in-person, or hybrid work options are available.

You will plan investigations, review modeling, mentor staff, manage client relationships, pursue opportunities, and oversee scope, schedule, and costs. Travel up to 20% may be required; strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical, Geologic, or Civil Engineering is required.
• Master’s degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering is preferred; Ph.D. is a plus.
• Minimum 15 years of geotechnical/civil experience; strong leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage geotechnical investigations, including soil/rock logging, testing, and characterization.
• Analyze field data and reports to define conditions and design criteria.
• Mentor staff and perform QA/QC reviews of work.
