McMillen, Inc. is seeking a Geotechnical Senior Managing Engineer with a strong technical background to deliver top-tier service. The role spans water-related projects such as dams, levees, and water treatment, with options for remote, in-person, or hybrid work.

You will mentor staff, manage investigations, and grow client relationships across local and national markets. The ideal candidate has extensive geotechnical experience, advanced degrees, and proven leadership in large multidisciplinary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in geotechnical, geological, or civil engineering required.
• Master’s in geotechnical or civil engineering preferred; PhD is a plus.
• Minimum 15 years of geotechnical/civil engineering experience.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams and large projects.
• Proficiency with geotechnical modeling tools and design software.
• Strong problem solving, writing, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% monthly.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage geotechnical investigations including core logging and testing.
• Analyze field data, conditions, and reports to define design criteria.
• Mentor junior staff and provide QA/QC reviews.
• Develop client relationships and pursue project opportunities.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams on water resources projects.
• Develop designs for infrastructure including pipelines and pumps.
• Support dam safety inspections and risk analyses.
