Job summary

Ausenco is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Mine Waste Solutions Team in the Denver area. You will lead geotechnical design, analysis and reporting for tailings storage facilities, waste rock dumps and related mine structures.

You will mentor junior staff, collaborate with a diverse team, and travel to client sites both in the USA and internationally to support projects. A PE license is a valuable asset and a Master’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
10+ years of relevant engineering experience; PE certification is a plus.
Master's degree preferred in Civil Engineering.

Responsibilities

Conduct geotechnical analysis, design, and reporting for tailings facilities and related mine infrastructure.
Participate in site investigations and laboratory testing; interpret results.
Prepare high-quality technical reports, proposals, and project documentation.
Manage the preparation of design drawings and specifications from scoping to construction.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams for timely project execution.
Mentor junior staff.
Willingness to travel to client sites in the USA and internationally.
