Job summary

The Senior Geotechnical Engineer at the Springer site in Imlay, Nevada will provide technical leadership on ground conditions, slope stability, and earthworks. You will collect, interpret geotechnical data, monitor field conditions, and develop practical recommendations to support safe project execution and operations.

Collaborating with Engineering, Projects, Construction, Operations, and consultants, you will identify ground-related risks and ensure geotechnical requirements are integrated

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in geological or geotechnical discipline.
PN licensure in Nevada preferred (Professional Engineer).
8+ years geotechnical engineering experience in mining or heavy industry.
Experience with field investigations and slope stability assessments.

Responsibilities

Analyze soil, rock, groundwater data to support designs.
Assess ground conditions, slope stability, foundations, and earthworks.
Develop geotechnical recommendations and risk controls.
Plan drilling programs, sampling, and instrumentation.
Prepare reports and maintain records.
Coordinate with engineering, construction, operations, and consultants.
Communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
