Job summary

Blue Moon Metals Inc. seeks a Senior Tailings Engineer to lead design, construction, operation, monitoring, and management of tailings storage facilities at the Springer site in Imlay, Nevada.

This role collaborates with engineering, projects, construction, operations, environmental, health and safety teams to ensure facilities meet designs, regulatory requirements, and company standards, while identifying risks and delivering practical engineering recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geotechnical, Geological, Mining Engineering or related field.
• Master's degree is an asset.
• Nevada Professional Engineer license preferred or eligible.
• 10+ years mining eng experience with 5+ years in tailings facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical engineering support for tailings facilities and water-management infrastructure.
• Review designs, calculations, drawings, and reports by consultants and contractors.
• Develop recommendations considering performance, requirements, constructability, and risk.
• Conduct inspections and monitor facility performance; document actions and follow-up.
• Coordinate with engineers, operations, environmental, and safety teams.
