Job summary

SRK Consulting (U.S.), Inc. in Reno, NV seeks a Senior Consultant to support geotechnical exploration, instrumentation, embankment fill construction, liner installation, and mining site operations.

You will analyze geotechnical data and prepare technical memoranda and reports. You will review drawings, respond to RFIs, and develop geotechnical analyses for embankments using SLIDE2 and SLOPE/W, while collaborating with CAD specialists in AutoCAD and Muck3D.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering or a related field and eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or related occupation.
• Experience in geotechnical site investigations and characterization reports, design basis reports, and feasibility or detailed level design reports; preparing technical reports and memoranda; documenting field observations and design changes; coordinating with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams; project management; overseeing construction activities and QA/QC.

Responsibilities

• Support geotechnical exploration and instrumentation activities at mining sites.
• Analyze and interpret geotechnical data; prepare memoranda and reports; review drawings; respond to RFIs; prepare proposals.
• Develop geotechnical analyses for embankments and earthen structures using SLIDE2 and SLOPE/W.
• Utilize CAD software including AutoCAD and Muck3D; coordinate with project teams.
