Job summary

HDR, Inc. seeks a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead investigations and coordinate geotechnical activities on major programs. You will perform analyses, prepare reports, and work with designers to implement recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a field related to geotechnical engineering.
• 10 years of geotechnical experience.
• Professional Engineer license recognized in the position's location.
• Experience with MS Office, GIS and CADD.
• Experience with GeoStudio/Ensoft slope stability, settlement and deep foundation software.
• Experience with Bentley software like gINT/OpenGround/LeapFrog.
• Knowledge of advanced numerical modeling (FDM/FEA/DEM).
• Commitment to active participation in an employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare geotechnical investigations with significant program impact.
• Participate in marketing efforts for internal and external clients.
• Organize and coordinate geotechnical investigations for projects.
• Perform analyses, prepare reports, and coordinate with designers.
• Serve as Technical Specialist or Project Manager on large projects as needed.
• Supervise professionals, technicians and design teams.
• Perform other duties as needed.
