Job summary

HDR, Inc. seeks a Sr. Geotechnical Engineer to lead investigations and analyses for major transportation projects in Houston, collaborating with design teams and clients. You will prepare reports, supervise staff, and contribute to project management as needed.

The role requires a PE license, 10+ years of geotechnical experience, and proficiency with Bentley geotechnical tools. A strong background in TxDOT projects is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years geotechnical experience with PE license.
• Experience with GIS, MS Office and CADD.
• Proficiency with Bentley software and numerical modelling tools.
• TxDOT project experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct geotechnical investigations that impact major programs.
• Coordinate investigations for transportation projects.
• Prepare geotechnical reports and coordinate with designers.
• Perform engineering analyses and apply standard techniques creatively.
• Supervise teams and act as a technical specialist or PM as needed.
