Langan is seeking a Project Geotechnical Engineer - Power Generation & Transmission to join its collaborative team in Parsippany NJ. This individual will serve a key function in providing geotechnical engineering expertise through geotechnical analysis and design, and efforts that support management of projects, supervision of staff engineers, and interfacing with clients within grid resilience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Master’s degree with Geotechnical emphasis preferred.
• Professional Engineer licensure required.
• 6+ years of geotechnical experience in energy sector.
• 3+ years field investigations and construction observation.
• Experience with reports, specifications, and client coordination.
• Knowledge of codes and regulatory requirements.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex analyses and design of pile elements and underpinning systems.
• Prepare technical documents, proposals, reports, construction documents.
• Supervise field investigations and foundation construction activities.
• Manage multiple projects within budgets and schedules.
• Coordinate budgets, progress reports, invoices, and billings.
• Collaborate with clients and staff across teams.
