Job summary

Langan is seeking a Senior Staff Geotechnical Engineer to join its collaborative team in Parsippany, NJ. This role involves preparing technical reports, specifications, plans, and designing foundations and retaining walls for premier land development projects.

The ideal candidate has a Civil or Geotechnical Engineering background with 3+ years of geotechnical field and inspection experience; FE/EIT is preferred. Proficiency with gINT, Slide, PLAXIS, and related tools is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering is required; Master's preferred.
• 3+ years of geotechnical field experience and construction inspections.
• Experience in geotechnical report writing, specifications, and construction coordination.
• FE/EIT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design earth structures, deep foundations, support of excavation and underpinning systems.
• Coordinate fieldwork with project managers and provide project support.
• Oversee geotechnical investigations and inspections across construction projects.
• Assist in geotechnical report writing and preparation of logs and forms.
• Fieldwork is required; ensure quality and compliance with client specs.
• Perform other duties as requested.
