Senior Geotechnical Engineer - Pittsburgh
This candidate will start, build, and lead the geotechnical group across multiple states including NY, FL, and PA.
Qualifications
- The successful candidate will be experienced in all phases of geotechnical and construction management efforts, with previous leadership experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a minimum of 8+ years of related experience.
- Have or be able to acquire certifications in the state of Florida, including:
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Civil Engineering.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.

Responsibilities
- This position is for a senior professional engineer (P.E.) responsible for managing and leading a team of geotechnical engineers, planning, scheduling, and coordinating geotechnical work, and overall project management.
- Engage in business development activities including client meetings, proposals, and reports to support and expand client relationships and service offerings.
- Manage and lead a geotechnical department, ensuring profitability and growth.
- Apply sound engineering principles and communicate complex issues effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Manage resources, project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and coordinate with external vendors and contractors.
- Conduct client development activities in the Tampa area.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Develop and communicate project plans.
- Write proposals for projects of varying sizes.
- Evaluate and synthesize laboratory and field data, and compile reports.
- Follow safety rules and standards to ensure incident and injury-free operations, reporting safety concerns as needed.
- Lead technical training and make informed decisions on technology issues.
- Lead marketing, sales, and business development efforts.
- Supervise less experienced engineers and technical support personnel.
