This candidate will start, build, and lead the geotechnical group across multiple states including NY, FL, and PA.

Qualifications

• The successful candidate will be experienced in all phases of geotechnical and construction management efforts, with previous leadership experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a minimum of 8+ years' related experience.
• Have or be able to acquire certifications in the state of Florida, including:
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Civil Engineering.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.

Responsibilities

• This senior professional engineer (P.E.) will manage and lead a team of geotechnical engineers, overseeing planning, scheduling, and coordination of geotechnical work, as well as overall team management for projects of varying size and complexity.
• Engage in business development activities including client meetings, proposals, and reports to support and expand existing client relationships and service offerings.
• Manage and inspire the geotechnical department to remain profitable and foster growth.
• Apply sound engineering principles and effectively communicate complex issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Handle resource management, project scheduling, budgets, forecasts, and coordinate with external vendors and contractors.
• Conduct client development activities in the Tampa area.
• Deliver excellent customer service.
• Develop and communicate project plans for successful completion.
• Prepare written proposals for projects of various sizes.
• Evaluate and synthesize complex laboratory and field data, compiling findings into reports.
• Follow safety rules and standards to ensure incident and injury-free operations, reporting issues promptly.
• Lead technical training and make informed decisions based on current technology.
• Lead marketing, sales, and business development efforts.
• Supervise less experienced engineers and technical support staff on projects.
