Job summary

MetaOption, LLC is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer (PE) to lead the geotechnical practice in Maryland. You will oversee investigations, proposals, reports, and client interactions, guiding projects from inception to completion with technical precision.

The role emphasizes leadership, mentorship, and business development within an employee-owned ESOP environment. Relocation is required if not local; in-office position with long-term growth opportunities and roadmap to senior leadership.

• 10–15+ years of Geotechnical Engineering experience
• Proposal writing experience
• Client-facing experience
• Strong technical communication skills
• Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical investigations
• Prepare proposals, reports, specifications, and cost estimates
• Meet with clients throughout design and construction
• Provide technical oversight and QA guidance
• Mentor, not manage, junior engineers and technical staff
• Support business development efforts
