Job summary

MetaOption LLC seeks a Senior Geotechnical Engineer (PE) to lead geotechnical projects in the Maryland area. This in-office senior leadership role requires relocation if you are not local, with ownership consideration through ESOP.

You will oversee investigations, proposals, client engagement, and business development, mentoring junior staff, and guiding technical QA. A PE license and 10–15+ years of geotechnical experience are essential.

• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 10–15+ years geotechnical engineering experience.
• Proposal writing experience.
• Client-facing experience.
• Strong technical communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical investigations.
• Prepare proposals, reports, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Meet with clients throughout design and construction.
• Provide technical oversight and QA guidance.
• Mentor, not manage, junior engineers and technical staff.
• Support business development efforts.
• Help grow the geotechnical practice.
