Job summary

Blue Moon Metals Inc. is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer for the Springer site near Imlay, Nevada. You will lead geotechnical analysis, monitor ground conditions, and provide field support to ensure safe design and operations.

Collaborate with engineering, construction, operations, and consultants, develop risk controls, prepare reports, and maintain records while navigating field conditions and industrial environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geological/Geotechnical/Civil Eng. or related field.
• Nevada PE or eligibility preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of geotechnical experience in mining, civil construction, heavy industry, or related environment.
• Experience with field investigations, slope-stability assessments, foundations or earthworks.
• Experience interpreting geotechnical data and preparing recommendations and reports.
• Familiarity with instrumentation, monitoring methods, and risk-management practices.

Responsibilities

• Geotechnical analysis of soil, rock, groundwater, and data to support design and site activities.
• Evaluate ground conditions, slope stability, excavation requirements, foundations, and earthworks.
• Develop practical geotechnical recommendations, criteria, and risk-control measures.
• Plan and support investigations, drilling, sampling, testing, and instrumentation activities.
• Inspect excavations, slopes, and foundations to confirm conditions.
• Provide field support during earthworks, foundation construction, and related activities.
• Review drawings, specs, and contractor submissions for geotechnical considerations.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Construction, Operations, Projects, and consultants.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, monitoring summaries, and recommendations.
