Job summary

UES is seeking a Principal Geotechnical Engineer to lead complex projects across the Southern Georgia region. You will provide technical leadership, mentor staff, review designs, and manage client relationships, ensuring profitable project delivery.

This role requires 15+ years in geotechnical/CMT, a PE license, and proficiency with AutoCAD and geotechnical software. Expect extensive site work, travel up to 70%, and collaboration with multiple teams to meet business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and PE license required.
• 15+ years of geotechnical and/or CMT field experience.
• Strong knowledge of geotechnical testing methods and ASTM standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical oversight on complex proposals and projects.
• Examine engineering reports and field data to guide decisions.
• Mentor and guide other engineers and project managers.
• Generate reports, recommendations and documentation for clients.
• Conduct site meetings and prepare project estimates and recommendations.
• Prepare and update project proposals and technical reports in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with senior management to improve reporting procedures.
• Develop and manage projects with clients to ensure profitability.
• Participate in business development and marketing efforts.
• Review invoices weekly for ongoing projects.
• Maintain strong communication with leadership and colleagues.
• Maintain a 50% billable utilization rate.
• Follow company safety procedures in all activities.
