Job summary

Atlas seeks a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead investigations, analyses and reporting for the Burlington, NJ sector, serving as geotechnical engineer of record. You’ll own projects from proposal through final report, directing field staff and consultants, and delivering sealed geotechnical reports to clients in New Jersey and the Philadelphia market.

You will mentor junior staff, support proposals, and collaborate with other teams. A NJ P.E.

Qualifications

B.S. in Civil Engineering with geotechnical emphasis and NJ P.E. license or ability to obtain by comity within 6 months.
8+ years of progressive geotechnical consulting experience including project management and report sealing.
Proficiency with geotechnical software and familiarity with NJDOT, PennDOT standards.

Responsibilities

Plan, scope, price subsurface investigations and manage drilling subcontractors.
Perform geotechnical analyses: bearing capacity, settlement, slope stability, seismic site class.
Prepare and seal geotechnical reports and recommendations as engineer of record.
Direct laboratory soils testing programs and interpret results.
Provide construction-phase geotechnical support and client communication.
Mentor staff and coordinate with allied teams on integrated scopes.
