Job summary

Atlas seeks a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead investigations, analyses, and reporting for the Burlington, NJ sector and serve as engineer of record on projects across New Jersey and the greater Philadelphia market.

You will scope subsurface programs, direct field teams, perform engineering analyses, and deliver sealed reports to clients, while mentoring junior staff and collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering with geotechnical emphasis.
• 8+ years of progressive geotechnical consulting experience including project management.
• New Jersey P.E. license (or ability to obtain by comity within 6 months).
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan, scope, and price subsurface investigation programs and manage drilling subcontractors.
• Perform geotechnical analyses: bearing capacity, settlement, slope stability, earth pressures.
• Prepare and seal geotechnical reports and recommendations as engineer of record.
• Direct laboratory soils testing programs and interpret results.
• Provide construction-phase geotechnical support on projects.
• Mentor staff engineers and field technicians.
