Job summary

GeoEngineers, Inc. in Baton Rouge, LA seeks a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to manage technically challenging projects from highways to substations and renewable energy. You will plan field programs, brief field staff, manage budgets and client communications, and mentor junior staff.

You will develop field reports, perform analyses, and oversee field exploration and construction observations, with opportunities for business development and client growth. PE license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Master's in Geotechnical or Geological Engineering strongly preferred.
• 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 4 years of project management experience.
• PE license required.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and travel ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead project management tasks: budgets, scopes, client billings, field report reviews, contracts, proposals.
• Serve as technical resource for clients and staff; solve complex challenges.
• Develop field reports, figures, and tables with minimal edits.
• Review deliverables from staff and mentor junior engineers.
• Lead business-development activities and client outreach.
• Coordinate field exploration programs and construction projects; ensure safety.
• Perform engineering analyses and create complex models; GIS deliverables.
