Job summary

Atlas, a principal geotechnical engineering leader, seeks a Senior/Principal Geotechnical Engineer to provide technical leadership across diverse public and private projects. You will guide investigations, design, construction support, and team coordination while mentoring junior engineers and sustaining client relationships.

You will interact with clients and project teams, oversee subsurface work, maintain quality standards, and contribute to professional development within a dynamic office

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering; licensure as a Professional Engineer is required.
• Minimum 10 years of geotechnical engineering experience with emphasis on design, analysis, field investigation and construction supervision.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for team-based work; ability to mentor junior engineers and liaise with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance on geotechnical engineering for a wide range of projects.
• Lead geotechnical design, investigation and analysis for buildings and infrastructure.
• Supervise subsurface explorations, lab testing, data interpretation, instrumentation monitoring and analyses.
• Supervise geotechnical support during construction of foundations and earthwork.
• Liaise with clients and governmental personnel to resolve geotechnical concerns and foster long-term relationships.
• Mentor junior geotechnical engineers and contribute to professional development.
• Oversee and maintain the quality program and accreditations.
