Job summary

Atlas is seeking a Principal Geotechnical Engineer to provide technical leadership for geotechnical investigations, design, and construction support across diverse projects. The role involves coordinating with clients and project teams, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to business development and professional development efforts.

Office is in Lakewood, CO with sign-on bonus and relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering; master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering preferred.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in Colorado or ability to obtain licensure is expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for geotechnical investigations, design, and construction support.
• Coordinate with clients and project teams across public and private sectors.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to professional development.
• Oversee quality programs and project deliverables.
• Lead subsurface explorations, laboratory testing, and data interpretation.
• Ensure adherence to CDOT/ local standards and guidelines.
