Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer for our Wexford, PA office to lead geotechnical design and project management on pipelines, transportation corridors, dams, and infrastructure across the Appalachian Basin.

The role involves hands-on fieldwork and office tasks, mentoring junior staff, coordinating with clients and regulators, and delivering technically sound reports that meet industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with geotechnical focus.
• 5–7 years of geotechnical engineering experience.
• Ability to coordinate with clients and teams.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Experience with geotechnical fieldwork and lab data.
• Proficiency with technical writing.

Responsibilities

• Act as design engineer and manage geotechnical projects.
• Lead cross-functional engineering teams.
• Review drawings, specs, and cost estimates.
• Plan field investigations and geotechnical testing.
• Prepare geotechnical recommendation reports.
• Coordinate with regulators, clients, and subcontractors.
• Provide mentorship to junior staff.
