Job summary
WSP is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer for our St. Louis, Missouri office (Creve Coeur).
The selected candidate will provide subject matter leadership across multi-site design, due diligence, investigations, remediation, permitting, and construction, with focus on foundations, slopes, tunnels, and underground structures. You will mentor staff, develop project plans and budgets, coordinate with owners and engineers, and ensure high QA/QC while advancing geotechnical engineering practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in geotechnical or geological engineering or closely related discipline.
- 5+ years of relevant post-education experience in geotechnical design and engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership for multi-site design, due diligence, investigation, remediation, permitting, and construction.
- Develop foundations, retention structures, open pit/underground mines, tunnels, dams, and underground storage designs.
- Lead and mentor staff; manage budgets, hours, and subcontractors for geotechnical projects.
- Collaborate with PMs and managers to address risk, innovation, and future-ready opportunities.
- Ensure QA/QC and adherence to regulations and industry standards.
