Job summary

Kleinfelder's Geotechnical team in Sacramento and Santa Rosa is seeking a Project Geotechnical Engineer. You will execute project work, partner with senior engineers, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with multidiscipline teams while engaging with clients.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Geotechnical Engineering, a California P.E. license, and 8–10 years in geotechnical consulting for infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering and 8–10 years of geotechnical consulting experience, infrastructure focus.
• Californian P.E. license is required; California G.E. designation preferred but not required.
• Ability to provide technical and field support on complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with multidiscipline team to prepare proposals and execute projects.
• Safely coordinate and execute field exploration programs, construction observation, and documentation.
• Perform engineering analyses: soil/rock classification, foundation capacity, settlements, slope stability, seismic hazard.
• Collaborate with internal/external teams during project development.
• Prepare Geotechnical Engineering reports and construction drawings/specifications.
• Be involved during construction and interact with client representatives.
