Job summary

NV5, Inc. in California is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead geotechnical projects, mentor professionals, and develop client relationships across municipal, commercial, and public sectors. You will oversee proposals, reports, and project leadership while contributing to business growth in the Northern California region.

The ideal candidate will manage complex projects, ensure QA/QC compliance, and drive business development with a focus on safety and professional standards.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of geotechnical experience.
• Registered RG, CEG, PE, GE, or equivalent in CA.
• BS or Master’s Degree in a related technical field.

Responsibilities

• Leads by example and adheres to firm policies and procedures.
• Manage large-scale, complex projects and monitor group workload.
• Generate MIS reports to proactively manage group and office profitability.
• Lead project management, client interaction, and revenue generation.
• Prepare proposals and assign project responsibilities.
• Monitor budgets, WIP, AR, and timely billing/collections.
• Provide coaching, training, and performance appraisals.
