Job summary

NV5 is seeking a highly motivated Senior Geotechnical Engineer for our Alachua, FL office. The role involves directing geotechnical project work, including analysis, field exploration and report preparation, with senior review of proposals and client commitments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required; MS in Civil/Geotechnical preferred.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in Florida or able to obtain license within 8–12 months.
• Minimum 5 years of geotechnical engineering experience.
• Experience with geotechnical design and calculations for permanent and temporary supports.
• Proficiency with gINT, LPile, SlopeW, MathCAD and CAD is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and execute geotechnical project assignments including analysis and reports.
• Oversee field exploration and laboratory services.
• Provide senior review of proposals and client commitments.
• Develop proposals/presentations and assist in business development.
• Participate in professional and technical organizations.
