Job summary

BB&E is seeking a dynamic Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in support of NAVFAC Atlantic (LANT) facilities design and construction projects. The role focuses on independent geotechnical consultation, design reviews, and field coordination with Navy and related commands.

The successful candidate will bring at least 10 years of geotechnical facilities experience, PE licensure, and strong communication skills to lead complex projects and collaborate across disciplines, with

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of professional geotechnical engineering for facilities design.
• ABET-accredited civil/structural program with emphasis in geotechnical engineering.
• Professional Engineer in geotechnical or civil/structural with geotechnical emphasis is required.
• Strong communication skills and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide geotechnical engineering support for Navy, Marine Corps, and other commands.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders and other disciplines for system integration.
• Review designs, drawings, and costs; assist with RFPs and consultant AE submissions.
• Develop final working drawings using AutoCAD and monitor geotechnical aspects during construction.
• Interface with customers to gather information and complete project scoping and failure analysis.
