WSP in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead complex earth and environment projects from concept through construction. You will provide technical leadership on foundations, slopes, tunnels, and underground structures, coordinating with PMs, clients, and specialists.

Ideal candidate has a PE license, 3+ years post-education, strong writing and communication, and experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, GeoStudio, RocScience. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in geotechnical/geological engineering or closely related field.
• 3+ years of post-education experience in geotechnical design.
• Professional Engineer license.
• Proficient in geotechnical engineering principles, design, permitting, and related issues.
• Proficient with analysis and design; capable of QA/QC and technical writing.
• Experience leading design/construction in rehabilitation, reconstruction, and new projects.

Responsabilités

• Provide oversight by collecting and analyzing site data, subsurface information, GIS data, and maps.
• Apply high-level geotechnical techniques to complex infrastructure projects from concept to operation.
• Lead investigations of site conditions, including soil/rock foundation analysis and slope stability.
• Develop construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates with coordination across disciplines.
• Lead projects from proposal to inception to completion, including budgeting and subcontractor management.
• Mentor staff and stay current with geotechnical practices and technologies.
