Job summary

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers (KIE) seeks a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to expand the Geotechnical Design Group within infrastructure projects. The role emphasizes technical depth, teamwork, and clear communication across disciplines.

Base location is Lone Tree, CO with travel to project offices as needed. Requirements include a master’s degree in geotechnical engineering, PE license, 11+ years of experience, and EPC/Design-Build familiarity.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Geotechnical Engineering or closely related field.
• 11+ years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience (15+ preferred).
• Registration as a Professional Engineer in the U.S. is required.
• Strong communication and interdisciplinary design coordination capabilities.
• Willingness and ability to travel to project sites; EPC/Design‑Build experience preferred.
• Experience with AI agents and tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide project support during proposals/bids and evaluate design solutions for geotechnical problems.
• Work with pursuit teams to identify key design risks and mitigation plans.
• Contribute as geotechnical lead or project manager on EPC/design-build projects.
