Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Project Manager to oversee all geotechnical construction projects from conception to completion in Asheville, NC. You will lead drilling operations, coordinate subcontractors, and manage schedules and budgets to ensure on-time delivery.

The role requires strong mechanical troubleshooting, a background in geotechnical construction, and a degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering is preferred.

Their is travel required in the role throughout Mid Atlantis Region (NC, TN, GA, FL, MD)

Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. 1. Manage and oversee all aspects of geotechnical construction projects from initial planning to completion.
2. 2. Operate drilling rigs and set up drills for construction projects, ensuring safety and efficiency at all times.
3. 3. Utilize your knowledge of casing, down hole hammer, and hollow bar in the execution of projects.
4. 4. Prepare detailed schematics and project schedules, ensuring all stakeholders are informed of project progress.
5. 5. Monitor project progress continuously, identifying potential issues and implementing solutions promptly.
6. 6. Oversee the construction process, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standard and complies with all relevant regulations and standards.
7. 7. Manage relationships with subcontractors, ensuring their work aligns with the project objectives and standards.
8. 8. Use your mechanical skills to troubleshoot and solve problems as they arise, ensuring minimal disruption to the project timeline.
9. 9. Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure a cohesive and coordinated approach to project management.

Qualifications:

1. 1. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in the construction industry, with a specific focus on geotechnical construction.
2. 2. Proven experience in project management, with a track record of successful project completion.
3. 3. Strong mechanical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems effectively.
4. 4. Experience in operating drilling rigs and setting up drills.
5. 5. Familiarity with casing, down hole hammer, and hollow bar.
6. 6. Experience in construction management, site management, and subcontractor management.
7. 7. Strong knowledge of the prefabricated metal building industry.
8. 8. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
9. 9. The ability to prepare detailed schematics and project schedules.
10. 10. Proven ability to monitor projects and implement solutions to potential issues promptly.
11. 11. A degree in a relevant field such as Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
