Job Description
WSP is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer/Consultant in Redmond, WA, with options for Tacoma, OR, and Seattle, WA. You will work on civil ground engineering projects, providing geotechnical assistance for infrastructure development, including design, analysis, and construction of various structures, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance.

Your Responsibilities

1. Analyze data from sites, samples, surveys, and maps for project development.
2. Maintain quality control and report on geotechnical data.
3. Conduct geotechnical investigations and assessments for site safety and compliance.
4. Collaborate on modeling, design, and safety strategies.
5. Work independently or in teams, ensuring project specifications are met.
6. Verify site characteristics and prepare visualizations and reports.
7. Support project scoping and technical report preparation.
8. Participate in field investigations and data analysis.
9. Guide junior staff and contribute to safety planning.
10. Coordinate with authorities and adhere to regulations.
11. Perform additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Geotechnical Engineering or related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience.
• PE license required.
• Knowledge of geotechnical design and software tools.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Ability to work in a team and adhere to safety standards.

Preferred

• Masters or Doctorate in related fields.
• Experience with numerical modeling and project management.
• Washington PE license or ability to obtain.
• First Aid and CPR certifications preferred.
