Job summary

GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Geotechnical Senior EIT 2 to provide geotechnical engineering support under the Geotechnical Engineering Manager. The role involves fieldwork and office tasks across Energy, Transportation and Community Development projects with travel in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Virginia.

The candidate should have a 6+ year geotechnical background, a B.S. or M.S. in Engineering, and FE/EIT licensure.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6+ years of geotechnical experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.
• Passed FE exam and engineer-in-training (EIT) certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform geotechnical engineering assignments for foundations, slopes, and earth structures.
• Prepare designs and calculations for rock/soil slope stability, anchoring, and ground improvement.
• Support field investigations, monitoring, and testing; interpret drawings and specs.
• Prepare proposals, budgets, schedules, calculations, specifications and reports.
• Travel for fieldwork in PA, WV, and VA up to 50%!
