Job summary

ECS Group seeks experienced drilling professionals for penetrometer testing and geotechnical data collection in the Baton Rouge area. This role involves operating Geoprobe equipment, performing borings, monitoring drilling progress, and maintaining drill rigs and support vehicles in a safe, compliant manner.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED and 5–8 years of field experience, with Class A CDL preferred. Willingness to travel and work out of town is expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 5–8 years of experience in drilling/geotechnical work.
• Class A CDL preferred.
• Position requires lifting 40–70 lbs multiple times a day, up to 85 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard penetrometer testing and boring with Geoprobes.
• Operate Geoprobe and drill unit to collect soil/CPT data.
• Plan daily schedule to meet productivity targets and maintain equipment.
