ECS Group of Companies (ECS) seeks a Senior Driller to perform advanced geotechnical drilling on moderate complexity projects, operating Geoprobe equipment and rotary/pneumatic rigs to collect soil and CPT data. You will mentor junior staff, plan daily activities, and ensure accurate field documentation and data submission.

The role is primarily field-based with out-of-town assignments, requiring strict safety standards, GPS/map usage, and timely reporting to the Project Manager or Supervisor.

Qualifikationen

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• 5 years of related experience.
• Class A CDL preferred; valid license required if driving for ECS.

Aufgaben

• Performs drilling operations, including borings and Geoprobe work.
• Operates Geoprobe equipment to collect soil samples and CPT data.
• Operates drilling equipment and adjusts parameters like bit weight and speed.
• Monitors progress, changes drill bits, and removes debris.
• Locates boring positions using maps, plans, or GPS.
• Records all drilling data accurately.
• Reports issues to Project Manager or Supervisor.
• Performs routine maintenance on drill rigs and trucks.
• Troubleshoots mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues.
• Loads rigs and supplies daily.
• Plans daily activities to meet productivity goals.
• Completes timesheets and field documentation promptly.
• Submits field reports and data per company standards.
• Cares for and cleans vehicles and equipment.
• Maintains professional behavior and quality standards.
• Trains and mentors Driller Helpers and Drillers.
• Maintains safe, healthy, and compliant work environment; handles hazardous materials.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
