Job summary

ECS Group of Companies seeks a Senior Driller to perform advanced geotechnical drilling operations in the field, including Geoprobe work and CPT data collection. You will operate drilling equipment, plan daily activities, and maintain safety and quality on-site.

The role emphasizes mentoring Driller Helpers and Drillers, traveling to out-of-town assignments, and delivering consistent field documentation in line with company standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 5 years of related experience in drilling or geotechnical operations.
• Class A CDL preferred (if driving for ECS subsidiary).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with GPS systems and field data collection.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced geotechnical drilling operations on projects of moderate complexity.
• Operate Geoprobe equipment to collect soil samples and CPT data.
• Maintain and troubleshoot drilling equipment and report repairs.
• Mentor and train junior staff and Driller Helpers.
• Plan daily activities to meet productivity goals and complete field documentation.
