Job summary

ECS Southwest, LLP is seeking a Senior Driller to perform advanced geotechnical drilling, collect subsurface data, and mentor junior staff in field operations. The role emphasizes independent work, safety, and maintaining positive client relations on projects across the region.

You will operate Geoprobe and rotary drilling equipment, interpret field data, and ensure efficient, compliant field execution while supporting project managers with timely reports and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• Requires 5 years of related experience.
• Experience with GPS systems and field data collection.
• Strong reading of maps and plans; attention to field data.

Responsibilities

• Operates Geoprobe and other drilling equipment to collect soil samples and CPT data.
• Monitors drilling progress and adjusts parameters as needed; changes bits.
• Trains and mentors junior staff; maintains safety standards in field operations.
• Maintains equipment and vehicles; submits field reports per company standards.
